VW Floor Pan Restoration
Let Acme take the hard work out of your VW restoration. Bring us your car and we can remove your old rusty floor pans, or bulk-heads and install new, or repair them for you.
We are using fixtures on our chassis jig to locate the rear torsion and the front bulk-head so be assured your car will run straight. Caster is set to factory specifications or at the customers request can be changed.
Pricing is different for every job so we will give you an estimate before any repairs are done. This particular rebuild was done for a customer that wanted to lower his seat tracks as well.

VW pan restoration BASE configuration
Customer supplied VW Beetle rolling chassis.
(All parts are new unless specified.)
- Floor pans (left and right) stitch welded. After welding chassis is sand-blasted and powder-coated your choice of colors. Specialty colors at additional charge.
- Pedal assembly (Original VW)
- Dual Circuit Master Cylinder
- Complete brake system overhaul. New Steel lines, rubber lines, clips and fittings
- Brake drums, shoes and hardware front and rear
- Emergency brake cables
- Throttle cable
- Clutch cable
- Heater cables
- Original VW torsion beam (ball-joint or king-pin) will be rebuilt with new seals: cleaned, prepped and painted black. Colors optional
- New ball joints installed in front trailing arms: cleaned, prepped and painted black. Colors optional.
- Original VW spindles: cleaned, prepped and painted black. Colors optional.
- New wheel bearings, inner and outer, and seals.
- New stub axle seals and urethane bushings installed in rear trailing arms. Cleaned prepped and painted black.
- KYB GR2 shocks front and rear.
- Shifter with new shift rod bushings and coupler.
- Original VW steering box: cleaned, prepped and painted black.
- Tie rods and end links black. Chrome optional.
- Steering stabilizer. Chrome optional.

All painting done professionally with our standard black. Includes one coat of primer and a minimum of three coats of black. Show quality paint is an option.
NOTE: If you are purchasing a transaxle or engine for your chassis the installation will be included free of charge.
